Team Lead

Duties


  1. Directs the day-to-day operations of the IMPACT Team
  2. Leads daily team rounds and treatment planning meetings
  3. Coordinates treatment activities
  4. Triages new referrals
  5. Conducts client-centred assessments and contributes to individualized treatment plans
  6. Creates, manages, adjusts team members’ weekly schedule, to meet clients’ needs
  7. Participate in recruitment processes
  8. Orient new team members to IMPACT and their specific role within the team
  9. Supervising and mentoring team members
  10. Provide client service, as needed/directed


Qualifications


  1. Completion of a Master’s Degree in a health sciences field (Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health etc.)
  2. Registration/licensure as required by professional body, e.g. Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, etc.
  3. Minimum of 3 years working in mental health community setting
  4. Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
  5. Strong knowledge of the ACT model and psychosocial rehabilitation principals
  6. Strong knowledge of concurrent disorders and harm reduction approach
  7. Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care
  8. Training in and experience delivering individual psychotherapeutic modalities (i.e., CBT, DBT, Behaviour Activation, coping strategies for stress), considered an asset
  9. Expertise in crisis assessment and management
  10. Experience and ability to effectively work as a member of an interdisciplinary team in a health care setting
  11. Excellent interpersonal skills
  12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  13. Excellent organizational and time management skills
  14. Excellent problem-solving skills
  15. Knowledge of policies, legislation, programs and issues related to mental health services, social services, community services, and placement services relevant to adults
  16. Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is necessary
